FUSION ////
Every solution comprises a series of component solutions. Similarly, it is sometimes not the creation or redesign of a single solution, but instead the careful fusion of two existing solutions that brings transformation to a problem.
Our causes span the globe. Our collaborators hail from all sectors, disciplines, and regions. Our technologies come from industries of all kinds. The range of solutions, best practices, and lessons learned at our disposal compel us to include solution integration as part of our design ideation process.
We use many of the same techniques used in teardowns and reverse solution design to help us explore new applications of existing technologies, the combination of other successful products, and the fusion of best practices. But to escape the “Frankenstein” effect of simply jamming together unrelated components, we spend a great deal of time deconstructing each solution to understand its fundamentals and build the two back together, reconstructing it as a single solution.
Our focus on transdisciplinary solution design drives this technique. Our collaborators transcending their own disciplines, empowered by the insights of the team, creates an environment ripe for fusion. The effect is especially pronounced when integrating technological solutions. Several of the technologies in our portfolio originated in unrelated industries for far-different applications and when we take a continuation in part of the desired functionality from one and fuse it with that of another, we can achieve a functional synergy that adds great depth to our abilities. In some ways, solution integration is a reflection of SEEDR’s structure as an L3C in which we have redesigned the most desirable qualities of the for-profit model to work in concert with all sectors for progress on traditionally charitable causes.
